"Play" Time

This weekend, me and the girls caught a little community theater action. We saw the local production of Oklahoma. What a treat! We got there a little early and were "front row Joe's". Snacks were a dollar. Talent was great. AND it only took less than 10 minutes to get there! Whoo hoo!

This was only the third play that the girls have ever gone to with me. The first one we ever saw was a Little Red Riding Hood play. I think CR was three or four. Overall the girls did really well but I do remember CR heckling the Big Bad Wolf dressed up as the grandmother. I wish I could remember exactly what she said. It was something like "You're JUST a wolf!" - when the WHOLE theater was silent.

The second play I ever took them to was a Junie B. Jones musical. It was really cute AND the perfect length for kids. I think it was about an hour.

I thought the girls would enjoy Oklahoma but also knew that there were some slow parts where they might loose interest. Intermission was TWO HOURS into the show. CR asked me if it was over. When I told her no...she was actually relieved! Another successful theater outing - minus the heckling.
