This is one of our cats when it was a kitten.

GA actually sketched the heart with colored pencils and I scanned the picture to make a card.

Someone had a birthday last week...a whopping nine years old!

The child that I once feared would not be a "reader", due to her complete lack of interest in learning the alphabet, has been acknowledged for having read the third most books out of her whole school's Accelerated Reading Program. I couldn't help but think of her when I saw this short film...

So now we own one of these - a grain mill. We'll be making bread from scratch this weekend.
