Natchitoches, Louisiana

One of our little day trips while down south included going to Natchitoches, Louisiana. The movie, Steel Magnolia's, was filmed here. You can even stay at actual house where they filmed!
Lots of French influence.

My Dad's Alma mater.

Looks like New Orleans.

B&B

I definitely want to go back and visit!

Cypress Preserve

These may or may not look so hot. It all depends on how your monitor is set...

Ed Lester Farms

Yesterday, we ventured out to Ed Lester Farms (www.edlesterfarms.com). It's located in Coushatta, LA about 50 miles from Shreveport. It was featured in Southern Living last year. It was so nice! Somehow the place was pleasantley comfortable - temp. wise AND they have music playing for your shopping pleasure. Great little road trip!

You KNOW I took even more pictures of all the produce. I'll save those for another day. Enjoy!

The old stomping grounds...

And this is where I went to college...

Clock Tower
Alumni walk...too hot to go find my brick.

Where me and my hubby met on campus...
He says he knew I was his kind of girl because I wanted to buy a "used" textbook but it had to look like "new".
Adams dorm

The Quad

Lady of the Mist

There are all kinds of new buildings that have popped up since I went to school there. These are just the "old standards".
