Hooked

I FINALLY hung these hooks. I bought them forever ago at Anthropologie. The negative: they didn't come with matching screws. I guess I just assumed that we didn't have any screws that were the right size around the house.
OK - really...I was just hoping someone else would hang them for me. :-)
BUT I did it - then I went ahead and hung some more things!

Let's just hope that it doesn't take me as long to crack open the paint can to dab a little paint on these screws...

This IS going to put an end to the multitude of towels that appear on the bathroom floor after every bath, right?

Play Date

This past weekend, we took a little "girls trip" to Memphis to go with my sister, niece and their friends to see "Beauty and the Beast".

What a treat! The play was great. The theater (The Orpheum) was beautiful and the company - even better.

Once again...I didn't take my camera! The day included a quick little shopping jaunt, lunch out, the show and then dessert at The Peabody Hotel.

PW Photo Assignment

I entered this picture in the latest Pioneer Woman photo assignment "Funny Face". I don't necessarily know if it's "funny" but I think it's at least cute!

Interestingly enough...I had about five pictures downloaded on my Flicker account from previous contest entries and noticed that someone had "favorite-d" one of my pictures! I keep saying that I'm going to start downloading some of my better shots to see if anything becomes of it. I'm aware of one blogger who's had a quite a few of her pictures used in various media outlets.

Last week, we had Vacation Bible School. The theme was Big Apple Adventure. There were a little over 200 kids in attendance. I didn't take my camera with me because (a) I didn't want to lug it around & (b) sometimes you need quit being preoccupied with gadgets and just be "in the moment". That being said... you know it was just killing me on the last day to NOT HAVE MY CAMERA!!! Especially when other people had theirs and I kept seeing things that would make a great shot AND they weren't capturing it. UGH! So next year I will definitely take my camera on the last day. (It's not your eyes...the picture above IS blurry)

Accountability

These are my accountability partners...

I decided that I was going to set a goal to swim each morning - even if it's just for 10 minutes! They've been holding me to it.

We invested in these swim caps because they are tired of washing their hair every night. I invested in ear plugs for them because I'm tired of hearing them complain about swim ear every night. Not sure if there's actually some pain or if it's just a good excuse to delay bed time.

Side note: It's not a "Justin Bieber" suit - it's Joe Boxer.
