Confessions from the Crib
*sigh*
It is with great regret that I announce that I have surrendered in the "Battle of the BIG Speakers". I've been a fighter for six years now - ever since that unforgettable day when our then three year old poked her finger through the cone of his beloved Technics circa 1982 - a cherished reminder of his youth.
I confess - IT WAS ALL MY FAULT - YES, ALL MY FAULT - Are you happy now?!? I left the speaker exposed....She couldn't resist temptation. - I too had been tempted. I knew how much pleasure she brought him. I was jealous of the special treatment she got - Don't touch the speakers!!!!
I was thrilled when the cute little Bose speakers were brought into our home as a replacement. So tiny and inconspicuous yet so loud and strong.
But alas, the thrill is gone and has left him wanting something more.
Sorry, I have let all womankind down...
But have I really???
I made my final plea..."But the room is just too small for big speakers!"
*Silence* It was then that he promised...
"Someday...I will get you a bigger room."
Cha Ching! -Pass the real estate section, please.

Floaty Pen Scavenger Hunt
So I was sitting around a couple of days ago trying to figure out what to do with the girls during Spring Break...I knew that I wanted to take the girls into Chicago to meet their dad for lunch but was lacking as to what to do for the remainder of the day. I didn't want to make the time commitment for a museum. - The goal is to be able to take the first fast commuter train back home before rush hour!!!!
So I've decided that we are going to go on a scavenger hunt for these...
Floaty Pens
If you're not familiar. They've got a little image that floats back and forth when you tilt them. - Like the rainbow below.
I picked this one when we were in Las Vegas. It's a great little souvenir...
functional, cheap, portable and cute!!!
I'm thinking that we'll keep our collection in a clear apothecary jar. How fun will it be to take it off the shelf every now and then to reminisce about our adventures in finding the pens.

Red Rock Canyon
We took a Pink Jeep Tour (http://www.pinkjeep.com/) of Red Rock Canyon. If you go to Las Vegas or Sedona, I'd highly recommend this tour group. Clean, comfortable and professional.
